After only 2 weeks on bookshelves, Now You’re Thinking! is currently listed at #3 on Amazon.com’s Human Resources & Personnel Management list! We couldn’t be more proud that this book, which really highlights the heroism of U.S. Soldiers, is gaining respect and admiration from the HR community.
I’ve been in touch with HR managers across the country all week discussing how they plan to incorporate the story, messaging, and learning concepts into their critical thinking training. Repeatedly, HR managers tell me that this story is a way to take the concept of critical thinking (which isn’t the most entertaining topic) and deliver the message through a compelling story of how without critical thinking, communication, and teamwork, a 2 year-old girl wouldn’t have had a second chance at life.
We’re excited to hear how this new training concept for critical thinking is received at these organizations.
Additionally, the authors of Now You’re Thinking! (Judy Chartrand, Heather Ishikawa, and John Maketa) and Colonel Dave Bellon (one of the heroes in Now You’re Thinking!) chose to celebrate the release of the book by creating a charitable campaign to give back to military families.
From September 12th-30th, each time you read a free online children’s book at www.WeGiveBooks.org/nyt, your efforts will help give a free hardcover or paperback book to great non-profits that support U.S. military families year round. Think. Read. Give.
Can you spare 5 minutes today to read a free children’s book online so that a child can receive a book of his/her own? To participate in the campaign and support U.S. military families, click here!
There is no limit to how many books you can read online per day. The goal is to donate a total of 30,000 books to The Mission Continues, Pat Tillman Foundation, and United Through Reading.
Now You’re Thinking! is available for purchase online at Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com (as well as at Barnes & Noble stores).
